Shawn Keith Hatfield

Shawn Keith Hatfield, 45, of Chattaroy, West Virginia departed this life on Friday January 5, 2024

He was Born on June 21, 1978, in Williamson, West Virginia, the son of Johnnie and Vicie (Hatfield) Dotson.

He is preceded in death by his grandfathers; Charlie Stellerd, and Glenn Gannon, Aunt; Marlene Chapman.

Shawn was a proud graduate of Matewan High School. He had a passion for collecting things such as knives and lighters and loved playing video games. He enjoyed watching sports, his favorite team being the Atlanta Braves.

Those left to cherish his memory include his companion Jennifer Hicks, Son; Devin Hicks, Parents; Johnnie and Vicie Dotson. Brother; Brandon Dotson, Sister; Brittanie Dotson, Grandparents: Nell Gannon and Jack and Mary Ruth Hatfield, special friends; Clinton and Donna Hicks. Shawn leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and dear friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at The Bible Way Church in Matewan, WV.

Services will be held Sunday, January 14, 2024 at 12:00 noon at The Bible Way Church in Matewan, WV, with Brian Hager and Bernard Smith Officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery. He will be carried to his final resting place by friends and family.
